The best costume ideas for your hens night

Hen nights are a time for fun, laughter, and maybe a few tears. You’re celebrating the upcoming nuptials of a close friend, so you want it to be a night to remember. Chances are there’ll be people there who don’t know each other that well, and some that are best of friends. What better way to add laughter and comradery than to create a theme and have everyone dress up. You’ll have everyone giggling from the start and there’ll be no missing each other on the dance floor. No one will get left behind.

If you’re stuck for costume ideas, have no fear, we’ve put together a list of our favourite ideas for you. Here we go:

Where’s Wally?

You’ll definitely stand out from the crowd in this one. Most people would have searched for the iconic character and his friend Wenda in their childhood. There’s no need to search high and low for the perfect hen night costume anymore because we’ve found it (do you like what we did there).

Army

No need to yell for “Attention” when you walk in in these fierce outfits. These will suit any shape or size and are designed to complete some serious drills on the dancefloor. Plus, with camouflage caps and sunglasses you’ll be in able to stay in stealth mode for as long as you want.

Disney

If you can’t fly to Disneyland for your hens night, bring Disneyland to you in these fun (and very simple) Minnie Mouse outfits. The infamous ears will be recognised in an instant, and the contrast between black for the guests and white for the bride will leave no one guessing who the starring lady is.

Black tie

Now, if you like to be a bit different. If you want your costumes to be a bit left-of-field. Then how about dressing your bridal party up in tuxedos for the night – using a change of shoe colour to identify the bride. Fabulous.

80s Aerobics outfit

Channel your inner Jane Fonda, pull up your leg warmers, and work up a sweat on the dancefloor. You can be bold, colourful, and beautiful – what’s not to love about this outfit.

Cowgirls

Well howdy partner, it’s time to saddle up for your first rodeo. So, pull up your cowboy boots, and show off some fancy footwork. If you wanted to go all out, you could find a barn dance and have some fun line dancing.

 Old ladies

Raid your grannie’s wardrobe for this one or your local Salvation Army store, put on your grey wigs, and orthopaedic shoes (we know your feet will thank you). What a fun mix of outfits that everyone can pull off.

Sex in the city

In the words of Carrie Bradshaw “They say nothing lasts forever. Dreams change, trends come and go, but friendship never goes out of style.” Celebrate your friends by dressing as this iconic feminista, put on your tutus, high heels, order a cosmopolitan, and go out and party.
